About
Louis T. Runge, Jr. (“Tom”) was born in Greenville, South Carolina on March 19, 1961, where he spent his formative years. He graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Administrative Management in 1983, and in 1985, obtained his M.B.A. from the University of South Carolina. Tom later attended the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he graduated in 1992.
Tom was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1992. Prior to attending law school, Tom was an assistant vice president at Citizens and Southern Bank where is served as a loan officer, and in credit administration.
Tom is active in the community and currently serves as secretary of the Board of Directors for Homeless No More. Homeless No More is a non-profit organization which operates Family Shelter, an emergency shelter for homeless families, St. Lawrence Place, a transitional housing facility for homeless families, and Live Oak Place, a provider of affordable housing. He is also involved with Trinity Cathedral and chairs the Mission and Outreach Committee and serves as a commissioner on the Trinity Foundation.
Tom focuses his practice on real estate acquisitions, sales and development, as well as commercial lending and leases. Tom’s representative experience includes:
- Representing developers, buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants, lenders, and investors in real estate development, sales, acquisitions, financing, leasing, construction, and title insurance matters.
- Representing lenders in connection with loans to businesses and for real estate development.
- Representing local and national homebuilders in developing residential subdivisions and residential development projects.
