Stephen D. Searcy (“Steve”) was born in Bennettsville, South Carolina on August 25, 1970. He spent his formative years in Florence, South Carolina. He graduated from Clemson University, cum laude, in Financial Management with a minor in Accounting. While at Clemson, Steve was a member of Kappa Alpha Order fraternity. He later graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1995. While in law school, he was elected to the Order of the Wig and Robe and served on the Student Editorial Board for the American Bar Association Real Property, Probate and Trust Journal.

Steve was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1995.
